"I do like your newsletter and suggestions, because it gives many useful ideas that can be applied immediately. And it works too. Applying some of your criteria I gained about 20% in 3 months."

About Us

Stephen Rawls is the Editor and Chief Equity Strategist of Tips At The Bell and Tipping Point Stocks.   He is a 36-year veteran of both the futures and stock markets, and a former member of the Chicago Board of Trade. His comments have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Futures, the Chicago Tribune, Reuters, Commodity News Services, as well as other leading industry publications.

Mr. Rawls began his career in the most ruthless financial market on earth, the commodity futures pits on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. He went on to advise corporations like Central Soya, Drexel Burnham Lambert, and others on the best way to profit from commodities.

Starting in 1987, with a 20-year database of commodity prices and an early PC, Mr. Rawls spent 19 years developing and back testing sophisticated trading systems for top Wall Street brokers and commodity trading firms.

Twelve years ago he began applying his commodity pricing models in the stock market, to uncover stocks with explosive profit potential. He published these recommendations in a confidential briefing sent to friends and colleagues in the financial industry who used them to cash in on fast-moving stocks. In 2007, Mr. Rawls participated in the Zacks Challenge, where his stock picks returned 72.8%, over 21 times the return of the S&P 500 Index over the same time period.

In early 2008, Stephen Rawls launched Tipping Point Stocks, a weekly newsletter that recommends stocks on the verge of a major move higher, right before Wall Street jumps on board, driving the stock price through the roof. His sophisticated trading system pinpoints stocks that are riding a major uptrend, separating the true breakout plays from the noise and volatility of the markets. Mr. Rawls also edits Tips At The Bell, a FREE e-newsletter that alerts readers to major market trends and provides promising trading ideas.
